I'm busy getting things ready for this year's upcoming Open Studios. Last year I had hundreds of visitors and sold 45 paintings in two weekends. I'm hoping to have lots of collectors come again this year, since I have many new paintings that I think are really good! I'm waiting for frame shipments to arrive...several have been backordered all summer, so I overlapped orders with another company in hopes of having plenty for this year's events. I also have several new beautiful large greeting cards (from my recent paintings) that are mini giclees printed on fine quality water color paper, with individual plastic sleeves. Each one is a work of art, made by David Reese, my fabulous photographer.
Open Studio Dates are October 3-4 and 17-18. I will also have the thrilling adventure of going to paint the Fall leaves on the East Coast the second week of October with Eric Rhoades and 85 other artists from around the country. Lee and I are staying in Bar Harbor, Maine, a few extra days so I can paint the darling fishing villages there. Can't wait! I'll be back in time, Lord willing, for the encore weekend of Open Studios...with stories to tell and wet paintings to show from the trip.
