Mountain Majesty, 16x12 oil on linen
We just returned from a five day trip to Yosemite, where I painted 10 new pieces. It was down to 32 in the shade and literally freezing for a few of them, but all in all a delightful adventure. I've waited over five years to paint up there with some snow on the ground. I found several places along the river in the shade where it hadn't melted yet, so I was thrilled. By the end of the trip, most of the snow had melted, so I was very grateful to have been able to go when we did. The falls were at their peak...thundering down the cliffs!
