Lee and I had the most wonderful trip to the Grand Canyon this Spring, where I painted with Bill Cramer on at some fabulous locations along the south rim. He asked and our group of 9 was game to get up before dawn so we painted the sunrise each AM... a first for all the workshops I've attended, and so appreciated! I sold one off my easel to a couple from Mexico. We traveled after this to Sedona and then to Tucson for the Plein Air Convention.

The Cathedrals, view from Jenny Lake Lodge
We had a fabulous trip to the Grand Teton National Park this summer. We had all our kiddos with us a few days, then took our grandson and family to Yellowstone, and then I painted for a week after they left. We had all kinds of weather: 31 and snowing, to hail, rain, thunder lightning, and up to 85. The last two days we had forest fires! This is one of the several I did. I sold one while at the Jenny Lake Lodge, gave two away, one for a wedding gift to a young couple on their honeymoon. We are off to Glacier National Park next week...on my bucket list!

The Carriage Bridge, Acadia National Park
I am so excited to say I was just invited to be one of the 18 guest artists for the Acadia Invitational Exhibition in 2017-2018. I loved painting there last Fall, and visited the host gallery, Argosy, in Bar Harbor. The owner really liked my work and invited me to be part of this great event. I'm just thrilled and so honored. I will be shipping (or hand delivering) three pieces to start with, with a possibility of several more, depending on sales. If I happen to sell five during the event, they will take me on as a regular artist in their gallery, which would be fabulous! More to follow, but I just got the letter today and am very excited and grateful!
