I'm thrilled to say God was astoundingly gracious this year at the competition. He helped me paint, gave me strength, even with very little sleep, and lots of RA pain, set up over a dozen "divine appointments", and brought visitors who voted for me, supported me and bought paintings. I received the People's Choice award and also the Founder's Award for the painting "Carmel Monastery". I sold 7 paintings, including two from the Reiser Gallery to guests I sent over to Jim from the festival. I also got two commissions: for the Mission Ranch Sheep from a nice couple who watched me paint it, but missed buying it, as it sold before I could even hang it up, and also another Carmel Monastery piece. I'm so very grateful. Now for some rest!

I've been honored once again to compete in the Carmel Art Festival. This will be my 11th year! It will be great fun after two years off due to Covid restrictions in Carmel. 60 artists will be painting all around the Carmel coastal areas Wednesday AM thru Friday PM. We turn in our best two before 2:00. Judging will be from 3-5:00, awards at 5:30. Sale of all the rest of our works will be all weekend until Sunday at 3:00. There will be a Quick Draw competition Sunday AM for 9-12:00 for all the award winners. I've been included in this several years. It's great fun, but sure gets your heart rate up!
Please come Friday afternoon to say hello and vote for Peoples' Choice award and see the fabulous artworks and stay for the awards ceremony. Hope to see lots of you there!
