It was a fabulous week with Hedi Moran here from the Scottsdale Artists School! She is a wonderful teacher, and we had 12 artists painting in my studio and Lee's office each day, with seven different set ups to choose from, and changing them often during the week. Hedi did a demo each day, and they were all gorgeous! Each student said they had a great time and the work they all left with was outstanding. She is one of the best teachers I've ever had! It was a delight to have her stay here at the house with us, along with a friend from Calistoga, MaryLou Schingler. If you ever have a chance to attend the art school, I highly recommend Hedi's class. Her method of starting with beautiful transparent colors and then adding the opaques on top, is so effective. I tried it the next painting trip to Pt. Lobos, and it made the landscapes have more depth, too.
